Been some time now, hasn't it...

Things are still rolling along. Still here, at least.

So, from my last post till now, couple of things have happened. Here we go-

1) Visited my relatives in HK

2) Visited my brother in Tokyo

3) Got really chubby on the way

4) Returned to Melb

5) Enlisted into the Singapore Civil Defence Force on 9th Sept '08

6) Went through basic (regimental+physical) training for 1 month

7) Posted to the 31st Emergency Response Specialist Course

8) Finished all training on the 3rd April '09 *cough*

9) Accepted into PSB Academy, under UWA's Biomedical Science course

10) Posted to Yishun Fire Station

And since then, I've been dragging my heavy soul to and fro between no.9 and 10.

Kinda sucky really, because just recently, I've decided to cease all my studies and just focus on living and working till the day I finish my National Service period (8th Sept '10).

Not to mention I've had to watch over my handicapped uncle after he was told to move out of his place and had no place to rent after that (To this, I still know not the full story).

Life's pretty much been on rotation, with approx. 30 hours of my life fully dedicated to being at work (in station) and the rest spent lazing around or reading my textbooks.

I've picked up a whole lot of cooking, cooking about 66.6666% of my meals now (the 24 hours at station calls for delivery). Curries, various a la carte meals...

I've for some unknown reason, felt myself drifting away from Church - and even sometimes, Christianity itself. Only thing that keeps me feeling Christian really, is my personal belief of Christ, my occasional bible read, singing a couple of old-time songs and the very very occasional prayer of desperation.

In a nutshell, life seems pretty darn sad for me, doesn't it? Personally, I really don't know. I've tried too many times to sit back and just review what's gone on, but most of it really doesn't make a lot of sense.

I'm not waiting for someone to come and make things right, nor am I looking. I take this period, as a time for me to simply rebuild and reshape myself from the bottom to top. Gosh, the things I've seen and done at work. It's all coming too fast. I feel like I've grown up way too quickly. I am the youngest in the station after all. And the people there...The people I "hang" out with now. A very different and unusual world to what I'm used to. It's hard to describe it all and thus far, only my parents know really, a small percentage of what's been going on with me. As it is, strangely enough, the only things that cheer me up these days is well, nothing. Yet, I don't feel depressed or empty. Neither have I gone numb to the things in this world. I've seen the faces of men who would (or already have) take their own life out of madness or sorrow. And it never fails to sadden me about such things. I pray for their souls even then.

Even right now, I hear my uncle lamenting to a friend over the phone about how lonely, how imprisoned and how bored he is. Don't blame him though - it's been 2 months now that he's been stuck here. It takes great effort for him to simply exit the door. He's only been outside once this whole time.

Well it's good hearing myself again. I don't know what kind of person I will be to the ones I love and the ones who love(d) me, the next time we meet, but really - people change all the time!

Well hasn't this been boring. Time to hit up GTA4 on the 360!

But seriously, I did this mostly because I felt this blog needed a little updating. I mean it is in mine and Ray's MSN names still, after all this time. Comics-wise...maybe next time. Or till I get myself a nice camera and start funking around.

Anyway, hope to see any of you guys from Melbourne around soon. You have no idea how much I really do miss everyone back there.

I honestly, honestly wanted to pop a couple of pictures here but *technological rant inserts here*
Anyway, things have been pretty cool. Text is boring. BUT, I have been doing a significant amount of reading while racking up flight hours in Flight Simulator 2004 (Buy me Xplane 9 or FSX+Acc and I'll be your noodles while you be the soup)

I have been unable to speak to a great many of you with reasons being listed in order of relevance:
1) I am a lazy bastarr-do (You say it with the Russell Peter Italiano accent: bastarr-do? NO bastarr-do...Bastarr-d-NO bastarr-do)
2) I tend to be absent from the computer even though MSN (Yes, the greatest indicator of a human being's existence ever) shows me as "online"
3) We're 3 hours apart, I'm here without you babeh
4) I'm taking multiple shots at Crosswind landings 36 knots perpendicular with a 100000 lbs overloaded 747 struggling to center that dratted ILS
5) Live for speed, say no more.
6) I hate people.
7) I could've written an email but writing mails are so the-romanticism-period. Plus, referring back to 1) I really can't be bothered sifting through the stale address book of my coming to 8 years old hotmail account. I mean, hotmail actually saves the MSN names of these people. C'mon PEOPLE, your names are for names. At least have your name in the first twenty or so characters before turning your name into a diary entry or boast-fest to demonstrate wealth, love, desire, skill, support, youtube and blogs. I mean, HOW THE HECK am I supposed to know who "I love you so much it hurts some times." is?! Is he man? Is she woman? Is he woman? Is she man? Is he Cloverfield? Is she John McClane?
8) I just love you guys so much it hurts some times. (Ah, but you see, it's the lucky number 8)

Singapore has been both fun and boring all the same. It's fun being able to speak 10 words of Chinese and have a bowl of laksa, a plate of carrot cake, two lots of satay sitting at the table with sugarcane juice to gulp it down.
It is also wet. By that, I refer not to our country getting all kinky, but that it's humid humid humid humid hot hot hot hot hot hot and sticky sticky sticky sticky sticky.
My neighbours are tolerant of my midnight musical pangs. I bang on the piano, I bang on the guitar and I get my larynx banging hard at the best hours of the night. Heck, I'm so gonna get myself a cheap student violin and shriek away. Who knows, they might even vote (read: evict) me as the best neighbour ever. As Avril Lavigne once said, "The Best Damn Thing"

I also swore to start a huge exercising regime the moment I arrived but have failed to do so until about Friday. So I thought I'd give it a shot on Friday. I ran and panted in short notice. I jumped and landed, okay well, spot on. I lay and sat up with plenty more to spare, and here's the kicker...I got to the bar and pulled 3. THREE. With no exercise in the past month coming to two, and just food coming in I had gone from two to three. I swear, Singaporean food is filled with pixie dust. The stuff that makes boys men and men...hypogryphons? Oooo, Centaurs would be cool too.

I've also enjoyed watching box-cars drive by. For example, the toyota Wish. Amazing car, that. Now, before you go off to google images....Imagine a Prius. Good good, keep that image in your head.Now imagine someone made a Prius limo. Yep, excellent you're getting there. Now imagine the idiot reversed his brand new Prius limo into a flat wall at 100kilometres per hour (Okay being a toyota...make that 50.) Now I know, it's meant to be a minivan...But the thing isn't that much bigger than a Prius! It's a Prius with square buttocks! Likewise with the Honda Stream and the Odyssey. They are the sexiest cars I have ever seen. All square-buttocks-ey and all.

Well, it's been brilliant typing to no one, hoping someone reads it and goes "Hey this guy is cool" or I'll ship him a Toyota Wish. Or perhaps a Honda Stream, what with the whole "V-TEC y0" thing as opposed to "This Hybrid is pimpin bro". I don't even know if Priusbob Squarebuttocks utilizes a hybrid engine.

On that bombshell, it's time to disengage autopilot and descend to FL120 for initial approach to Seattle International. I'll keep in touch, keep frosty, ride hard, rock on, have a good one, and all the other fancy imsocoolforsayingthis farewells.

So people have noticed that this has been rather neglected for the past year or so.
Good! I think the best thing about this "beta" thing is that it'll remain beta for as long as it can.
Anyway, I thought I'd pop up a comic before burying my cerebrum in paper.

Now, now. Due to Gloria's lying ability, I just want to announce and officially affirm that I am not gay. Right now, I'm so depressed it's hilariously not funny.

With that aside, I'll proceed to blogging.
Now, one of the joys of blogging is writing up a whole lot of nothing and thinking that people are actually gonna read it. It's like William Jame's theory of conscious being a flowing continuum. I'm practically writing down whatever comes to my mind. (typing I meant*****asteriskomgasterisk***)
Homework is on a whole new level due to what I've brought upon myself. (Let's see, not studying since...I dont know...February?) Slowly attempting to finish off math chapters and slotting objects into my mind is slowly slowly getting...fun! I don't know why I didn't acknowledge this earlier - But studying is a heckuva lot more satisfying than playing World of Warcraft (honestly, I'd say no but...) Comparing learning everything about radiation and light to gaining omgomgomglegendaryorangeomgomgomg items in WoW is in a word, exhilirating.

Yes I'm not a nerd. You heard that right. I'm in this process of transition (and hope to remain) from a g33k to a nerd. In case you're asking, those are the only two categories of teenagers that ever exist now. You use a computer, you're a g33k. You study, you're a nerd. Capice?
If you don't do either, you're a fully grown adult (This theory will grow obsolete in negative-5 years considering the great increase in adult use of computers)

Now onto the more interesting things in life -
I would absolutely love to do something similar to this sometime in my life with a soulmate and even a couple of mates- that is the absolute thrill of life
Also, English is an absolute life skill and a joy to apply to society.
I cannot let down the World of Warcraft buddies out there - This is an absolute joy to take to heart...zomg.

Most people don't know who I am, so I'll be frank. I'm about 75kg, am of the height 160cm, only slightly obese...And you guessed it - I absolutely love eating. I'm quite nerdy in fact...I play a lot of World of Warcraft and I have not many friends. There's also this girl I like...Several, in fact. But this particular one...Well she just pops into my head all the time and makes me wonder about life. And yes, I do spend all my day in front of the computer. I behave anti-socially and I -

On to the more important things in life. Perhaps we'll delve more into the mind of Maurice.
pr0n aside, WoW aside, schoolwork aside(sif)...We see Maurice for who he is. A fat dutch naval ship.
Let's look at one concept of Maurice today that I have noticed has been questioned several times for an approximate duration of 3-4 years. "Why do you not like Grrlllzz? Do you love being single or something?"

First: Heck, any boy who despise girls should come to me and we'll sort things out (Yes, girl germs therapy, I like to call it). Girls, yes, girlsgirlsgirls. yeeeessssss. Clear on that?

Second: Oh boy, do I LOVE being single. I really don't feel a need to be bound to any opposite gender sharing my life and committing to something - oh not at this age that is. You want something to work out; you must REALLY want it to work out. And that applies to both sides of the equation. Probability of that? Let Ray work it out for you.

Well, for those of you who were absolutely bagging for more stick goodness, hereya go!
Another idea me and Ray were copping up with was a podcast to make up for the site's complete lack of funni-ness. The basic idea is to hook up over Skype or MSN on voice, and record the conversation. What's more interesting to note is that we'd love to have guest speakers/interviewees/presentations, etc.!

Yes, yes. She's rusting indeed- this blog of ours. (Note to self: Girlfriend will arrive in 2 years...patience.)
I am hardly inclined to humiliating myself to drawing stick figures. And no, nor will I post nude pictures of myself on the internet- thank you for that. OMGOMGXXXHOTHOTMAURICENUDEOMGOMG

With that aside, I hardly (think you deserve it) want to apologise to the poor viewers holding out on this protentially devastatingly boring blog and wish to express my (con)adolescence to those specific viewers.
Oh and yes, to the dude who so kindly promoted that degree thing- I already hold a PhD in several clinics and sections of society. One of them including "PhD of Raiding", "PhD of Lunaticm" and before this goes nowhere funny, I'll just stop. Like now.

With that, I'll get on to my blogger duties. I think a vast majority of people reading this blog I do know of (Yes, that's about the whole internet- hey !)
But I think I'll leave a couple of thoughts. I had a random dream in my sleep (And a pattern observed- I slept early for once at about 12 am) and it included something quite emo-like.
Here we go:

Imagine migrating to a totally different-cultured country (Eg me- Singapore to Australia) and leaving things behind. And as you get used to things around you, you meet new friends, etc. Suddenly something happens...What? Someone new comes into your school- of course there'll be the introductions, she picks your "gang" to hang out with, etc. And the twist is this- all of a sudden one day, it strikes you really hard in the back of your head that this new friend of yours so happens to be a past childhood friend of which you have had "relations" with be it cute or not.
And this dream elaborated into a scene of the character realizing at the moment he is third-partying the date of which this new friend is dating another friend. And from there it's a haze.

But mate! What was all that about?! I'm not known to be a drastically emotical-emotional-uh, emoooooooooooistic person but somehow this happens in the innocent duration of my sleep.
That's so gotta become a featurette script for a Music video for the next Asian popstar who debuts.

Oh good good, we're getting remarkable popularity and feedback due to this blog.
Just yesterday, I gave this little kid my autograph. Not that he actually wanted it, but I felt like a good citizen!
Thanks to the people of which most I don't know who've dropped by and given this blog a look over. Sorry, I'm not a very good blogg-ist myself and this could be stated as a...past-time. This mail has been circulating since 1925 (that's right, when there WAS NO internet and some nutcase decided to format it into email format)that is...CURSED! So anyway, if you don't pass it to 1439857 people in the next five minutes, your brain will fry and you'll be haunted by this ancient monster man (who will creep up to you while you're asleep and eat your uh, fried brains.)

Anyway, honestly enough of that. I totally agree with anyone who says not to use MS Paint to draw these images. As you can see from the above, our generation is believing in every single chain mail, chain sentence, chain letter, chain words and chain males (hahahaha)!
I on the other hand, think that chain stuff is totally awesome. It's like the best thing next to friendster, hi5 and ....asiagroove(?) to show off the limitless number of friends you have. It's also the best way to scare people obviously, and also to spark off a conversation with that person you so secretly admire (Trust me, it happens).
Anyway that's enough about chain mails, they're annoying, they're pointless and they're repetitive. Some of the good ones that "remind you of life" are quite nice and meaningful, but if they didn't have that "pass it to at least" phrase at the end of it, I'd be quite satisfied.

Ahhh yes, the year 11 formal coming up in two months. The desperation in the wind, the painful taste of worry filling the palate, single men and women looking around hoping not to be humiliated at the aspect of being single for that night or ever. These my friends, are merely the stages of relentless rambles in the phases of your growing up. You look good already, you smell good already, you're great! Bachelors, unite! We are the proud, the humble, the invulnerable! And together, surely we're able to pull through! I don't want a date for the night, but someone to dance with apart from a broomstick would be much appreciated (As I said, any guy who doesn't want to dance with his date, you know who to ask)
Alright, alright enough with the crappy pictures, I hear you say. I totally agree, I need to find some new way to draw stuff that looks good. In case any of you are wondering "wth, wtf, wtg?!" the "gay bar" has to do with anything, have a listen to this song. With the exams out of the way, I was able to finally update this thing. So thus, just to show that I have never forgotten about this "site" (blog) I actually made up a comic in my commerce exam. Maurice is gonna fix it up, improve on it and post it =D. So yea...a few hr(s) till you guys finally get comic number two from Mauray.

Ps. Yoda is da coolest guy (under a meter tall) that I know..for those of you who have seen episode 3 and felt like your life is finally complete...get another life...

LOTS AND LOTS OF STUFF HAPPENING THESE FEW DAYS!!
I've been doing very constructive stuff these few days and it has been very exciting!
Like like...Sitting down on the chair facing two consecutive computer screens and carrying about my daily or rather nightly activities.
Lately I've been thinking of dropping my camera lust and heading off on a new venture towards owning my very first drum kit. And it's interesting because of the vast learning curve involved with many styles to choose from.
But heh, we'll see what happens. Nothing on comics so far actually. I'm beginning to feel that my drawing is lacking a certain well being of l33tness.
But that l33tness will be found and I will pursuade it to unleash its inner garfield self with dutch naval ships undergoing immense surgeries on outgoing patience.

Sorry, it's quite deep into the night and Im getting that split eye effect. It actually might have to do with using two screens at once. But nonetheless, I promise a strip up tomorrow or rather...later today.

Yeah anyway, I really should start sleeping earlier these days to catch up on lost sleep and also to catch up on work that I gladly missed out on.

I just had a great experience over the Easter weekend at our Church's Easter Camp and above all things I really have to thank God for the hearts that were so deeply touched by His hand. It was also a handful of sleepless nights talking nonsence (Riding the shoe salesman and the Horse of Justice) and also getting high on coffee, fruit and plastic (Don't ask me).
I was also proud to claim the "Loudest Snorer on Campus" award for my excellent participation in the snoring ensemble and also for solo performance. Other than that, I felt that the camp was excellent.

Most of you will probably be going "Whoa, you're an early person." but keep in mind that I have school. Right now I'm busy indulging in random amounts of codes and variables that must fulfill a certain protocol. Surely, that hurts my mind right when I'm most vulnerable AND hungry in the morning.
Just thought maybe I'd try out ranting in school and it should turn out as normal.

Yes, and indeed I have returned from updating this seemingly dead post. I am extremely proud also to say that the previous post was the 10th post!! w000!!! Very l33t and schw33t, yes...

Well I've got an Easter camp coming up soon and what can I say?...The joy of blissful UN-sleep...
But I have to cram my homework too...I must say that the teachers have chosen the PERFECT day for term 1 stuff to be due in...The Tuesday after Easter Monday...Of course, all hardships will be awarded and true enough, I have recieved naught any homework over the holidays besides History which can be done after the holidays anyway.

And yes...very w00t3y ind33d. I am about to purchase l33t g34r to "heighten" my l33t guit4r skillz (ph34r d3m). If none of you can guess, well it's a pack of strings and a 5c pick. Nope, I'm just kidding...I've had my eyes for some time on the Boss ME-50..."The pedal that stood the test of time" or so the store fella said...I will have to continue my hunt for this ME pedal because it is l33t and Billy Hydes didn't have them in stock. Nevertheless, perseverance is virtue. Thus, I shall pursue that l33tness in my mind in hope of virtue in return.

Once again, I do apologize for not giving you guys a rant as often as I said (as if you guys would want me to anyway). Today was a day of ass pains, back pains, arm soreness and the list goes on...A trip to Phillip Island worked out to be: over 5 hrs on the bus + 2 hrs of free movement. Thank God for the ipod, or I would not even be doing this rant today. As I am back home now, I do NOT want to talk about it again. Well, as for Maurice, he did not have an ipod, so he died. Just kiddin'. Anyways I am way to tired to go on.

Heh as you can see, Ray and I have already skived about two days of rants. Spare us please, I shall throw you a shiny object...No not very shiny.
I have not gained access to proper resources yet but I can assure you, the first comic is underway fine and dandy.
Well today's just another old school day. Except that I endured a double period of IT (good thing) and a double period of Chinese (bad thing) with Mr Yu (VERY bad thing).

Thankfully I'm right back on track and ACTUALLY updating my rants!!

It was quite a hot day today, the kind of weather that makes you wanna take off your clothes and run around the streets naked (oh there goes another person). There is no better way to finish of the long weekend than to do your never-ending homework. Well theres not much to say now, Im out.

The weekend was long but I pulled through...
Made a trip down to the Grampians with relatives in a very confined car (Yes, I believe I have pleaded for my dad to get himself a spacious 4-wheeler about 12309798735 times)
Rather long and rocky walks we had up there for two days but not much else besides a fantastic place we found.

But I believe I must've mentioned to friends once or twice. It is hard to order a drive-thru with Asian parents. "uh uh uh corfeeee and the Maakkkk-Cheekhennnss burgaaa" No I believe I exaggerated that. But should I put down fully what my dad attempted to order it would unfortunately have filled up my whole blog entry for today.
Not to worry, my parents and relatives have a right to a good name and I wish not to be sued for defamation over the internet.

Nevertheless, I cannot humbly say I have done much with the development of Mauray Beta these few insignificant days. The funniness for today's rant has ended. I bid everyone farewell.

As promised, details on Mauray Beta will be posted for our viewers (if any) to see.
Mauray Beta is basically a beta phase for a project we are trying to work on.
Basically, it is going to be a regularly updated online comic (how regular we do not know).

Now as we are but high school students with our own numerous agendas (evil laugh), a project like this that requires time and effort will only hinder our studies (Yeah, right.)

For now, we will stick to this n00b layout that is oh-so compelling until we can get a proper template up and running.
Future plans for Mauray Beta is to move out of the Beta phase once we have our newly acquired "skillz" and l33tness. Truly, the path of t3h l33t is a hard and dangerous one full of toils and snares.

Mauray Beta also aims to provide our viewers an interesting outlook of our very lives. (Yes, like reality TV...Only...Much better and much more interactive!)

Please do take note however, that this is just an overview of our plans and further details will be posted down the line.

For the first time in ages past, my consciousness dissipated in the last period of school (Commerce, undoubtedbly) for approximately 15 minutes during which I wandered off to dreamland. What I dreamed of, I shall not say in this rant. But thank goodness for the weekend! School has been a real drag recently. But who's to say it never is? :)
